Based on the hit animated series and video game that got its origin in Japan, two players face off in an all-out battle, engaging in a match consisting of three duels. It will take skill, practice, strategy and luck to emerge victorious from the match. The main battles are waged between incredible monsters, each with their own unique skills and fighting styles.
Introducing the last chance for duelists to boost their decks before the big dance. Ancient Sanctuary features new monsters as well as famous attacks from Yugi and Kaiba's signature monsters!
Cards feature Archlords who emerge from their Sanctuary in the sky to challenge the Archfiends (from the Dark Crisis Expansion). Their agents rally the forces of light into a strong, new deck archetype. With a high emphasis on defense, this is the set for Duelists who like a slower paced game, where they can control the field and display their skill. Ancient Sanctuary introduce the "human wave" Deck type, which hurls endless numbers of small monsters against an opponent. Skilled Master Duelists can take advantage of new first-turn win possibilities.
